ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 1, 2024) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109), pay out slack on the messenger line to send it back to the Supply-class fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE-8), while doing a replenishment-at-sea while underway for Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX), Aug. 1, 2024. The Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group is underway in the Atlantic Ocean completing integrated naval warfighting training. COMPTUEX is an intense, multi-week exercise designed to fully integrate a carrier strike group as a cohesive, multi-mission fighting force, to assess their ability to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea, and drive future warfighting development.
