(Aug. 27, 2024) A member of the National Naval Aviation Museum's Aircraft Preservation and Maintenance Department uses a 2x4 to separate the wing from the fuselage of a Vought F4U Corsair, as other museum specialists steady the wing, at the National Museum of the U.S. Navy, Aug. 27, 2024. The Corsair has 'flown' high above the museum’s floor, greeting hundreds of thousands of visitors during its 35-plus year tenure.
