(Aug. 27, 2024) Members of the National Naval Aviation Museum's Aircraft Preservation and Maintenance Department remove the attachment pins that held the wings to the fuselage of the Vought F4U Corsair housed at the National Museum of the U.S. Navy, Aug. 27, 2024. The Corsair has 'flown' high above the museum floor, greeting hundreds of thousands of visitors during its 35- plus year tenure at the museum.
