An explosive ordnance disposal technician assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron pauses during Operation Crushing Salvo (OCS) within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Sept. 3, 2024. During the exercise, teams of two used split-second decision-making and pinpoint perception to neutralize simulated explosive devices, clear a runway of debris, and disarm explosive traps in austere and low-light environments. OCS leveraged irregular warfare and agile combat employment concepts to bring a well-rounded and realistic training environment for deployed technicians. (U.S. Air Force photo)
