An explosive ordnance technician assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron searches a simulated flight line for damage during Operation Crushing Salvo (OCS) within the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, Sept. 3, 2024. During the exercise, teams of two used split-second decision making and pinpoint perception to neutralize simulated explosive devices, clear a runway of debris, and disarm explosive traps in austere and low-light environments. OCS leveraged irregular warfare and agile combat employment concepts to bring a well-rounded and realistic training environment for deployed technicians. (U.S. Air Force photo)
