The United States Joint Armed Forces Color Guard retires the colors after the performance of the national anthem at a Congressional Medal of Honor Ceremony at the United States Capitol, September 10, 2024.
The highest honor given by Congress was posthumously awarded to the thirteen servicemembers who lost their lives on August 26, 2021 while stationed at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.
