Royal Thai Army Master Sgt. Yingyong Tilarak, an instructor with the Thailand Mine Action Center (TMAC), observes Royal Thai Marine Petty Officer 1st Class Nattapon Srilachai, a TMAC student, attach a blasting cap to firing wire during an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) level 3 course at Ta Mor Roi Demolition Range, Prasat District, Surin Province, Thailand, July 31, 2024. Royal Thai and U.S. forces work together to train TMAC students on EOD level 3 in order to assist TMAC’s mission of becoming landmine free. This partnership is aligned with the U.S. Department of Defense’s humanitarian mine action program, which assists partnered nations affected by landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the hazardous effects of unexploded ordnance.
