NAVAL STATION NORFOLK (Sept. 27, 2024) Chief Sonar Technician, Surface Russell Browne assigned to Undersea Warfighting Development Center has chief petty officer anchors pinned on by family and friends during a ceremony at Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 4’s historic headquarters on board Naval Station Norfolk. Six new chief petty officers from Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 4, Undersea Warfighting Development Center, and Navy Warfare Development Center donned anchors and combination covers during the ceremony. CSG-4, CSG-4 mentors, trains, and assesses carrier strike groups, amphibious ready groups, and independent deployers for global combat against peer competitors.
