240927-N-SS900-1887 NAVAL BASE POINT LOMA (Sept. 27, 2024) Chief petty officers sing Anchors Aweigh during a combined chief petty officer pinning ceremony for Commander, Submarine Squadron (CSS) 11, USS Asheville (SSN 758), USS Santa Fe (SSN 763), and USS Scranton (SSN 756) held at the Roncador Memorial onboard Naval Base Point Loma, Sept. 27, 2024. CSS-11 is home to five Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarines, which are capable of supporting various missions, including: anti-submarine warfare; anti-ship warfare; strike warfare; and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
