U.S. Army Reserve Cpt. Neha Sharma, an intelligence officer, displays the gift given to her for being the featured speaker during Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and 86th Medical Group’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month kick-off event to raise awareness of the disease Oct. 2, 2024, at LRMC, Landstuhl, Germany.
Sharma said she was a “young and fit Soldier” when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at 31-years-old while on Active-Duty Operational Support orders in Wiesbaden, Germany. She shared her journey from finding a lump to diagnosis and treatment at LRMC, as well as detailed the challenges she faced along the way.
