Eleven Pennsylvania Air National Guardsmen assigned to the 171st Air Refueling Wing’s Fatality Search and Recovery Team and two assigned to the 171st Chaplains Office prepare to leave the Pittsburgh base and travel by convoy to Western North Carolina, Oct. 2, 2024, to provide support after Hurricane Helene caused mass destruction and flooding in the Southeast United States.
