U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Jayomar Harris, 452nd Aeromedical Squadron bioenvironmental engineer, and Edward Ericson, trainer, compare features of the older GR135 Exploranium and the new Symetrica Verifinder during training held at March Air Reserve Base, Calif., Sept. 15, 2024. The Verifinder can detect radiation present in a more portable user friendly way to meet antiterrorism deterrence needs. This device is easier to use while in personal protective equipment, as well as matching state and federal agency standards of radiation detection providing increased safety and security of our Airmen.
