U.S. Marine Corps Col. Chris Niedziocha, the commanding officer of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, observes an amphibious combat vehicle during an ACV executive leaders’ course at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 9, 2024 The course was conducted to provide commanders with the opportunity to discuss the introduction of the ACV to III Marine Expeditionary Force, in support of the 31st MEU. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
