A squad of eight Virginia Military Institute cadets became the first Army ROTC program to participate in, complete, and medal in Exercise Cambrian Patrol, considered NATO’s most challenging patrol test. The team received a bronze medal for their execution of the patrol that took place October 8-10, 2024, in Wales. During Exercise Cambrian Patrol, the British Army’s premiere patrol test, nearly one-third of the teams participating are unable to finish due to the treacherous terrain paired with the physically and mentally challenging events. | U.S. Army photo by Sarah Windmueller
