Maj. Kevin Daley, the commander of 52nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, and Col. Keith Benedict, commander of 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat team, are presented the unit's colors during its inactivation ceremony at Founder’s Field, Fort Carson, Colorado, Oct. 10, 2024. The battalion originated as the 39th Engineers in 1918 and supported WWI to construct and repair logistic railroads.
