Keith Benedict, commander of 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat team, 4th Infantry Division, case the unit’s colors at the unit’s inactivation ceremony at Fort Carson, Colorado, Oct. 10, 2024. The unit made history in 1999 as it became established as one of the first multi-component engineer battalions in the Army to consist of Active Duty, Army Reserve, and National Guard companies.
