U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Curtis Taylor, a point man with “Ninja 2” of the sniper platoon, mounts his M110 semi-automatic sniper system on the shoulder of his assistant team leader in an improvised firing position Feb. 15 during a company-level frontal assault part of field training exercises with Royal Thai Marines in Ban Chan Krem, Kingdom of Thailand, during exercise Cobra Gold 2013. CG 13, in its 32nd iteration, is an annual Thai-U.S. co-sponsored exercise, which focuses on interoperability of forces and readiness, bolstering national partnerships and security in the Asia-Pacific region. The Marines are with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment.
