DEDEDO, Guam (Oct. 22, 2024) – Kaitlin Kleiber, military policy advisor to U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, received a vivid briefing on the capabilities of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, a missile defense system designed to detect, track, and intercept short, medium, and intermediate-range ballistic missiles. On Oct. 22, Kleiber was briefed by Lt. Col. Jonathan Stafford, commander, Task Force Talon, and visited with troops at the THAAD site, gaining insights into the system's critical role in protecting Guam and the Indo-Pacific region from missile threats.
