NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (Oct. 25, 2024) - Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, presents an award to Capt. Gary Harrington II, commanding officer of the America-class amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA 7), for the ship's third place win at Surface Line Week 2024. The weeklong competition, hosted by Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, highlights professional and athletic skills while enhancing Surface Warfare culture, connectedness, and team building among the Surface Force.
