U.S. Marines with 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, display two Medium Tactical Vehicles and a Light Armored Vehicle assigned to 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division during the 2024 Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego Boot Camp Challenge at MCRD San Diego, California, Oct. 19, 2024. For the past 23 years, MCRD San Diego has hosted the bootcamp challenge, a three-mile obstacle course race guided by 60 drill instructors that highlights the physical and mental demands of bootcamp.
