U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Local Government Liaison Clint Wilson and USACE Hurricane Milton Emergency Field Office Commander Maj. Matt Westcott converse at an Oct. 27 event in St. Petersburg, Florida, to collect right-of-entry forms from homeowners with roof damage to apply for Operation Blue Roof. The operation is a priority mission managed by USACE for FEMA. The mission’s purpose is to provide homeowners in disaster areas with blue-colored, fiber-reinforced sheeting to temporarily cover their damaged roofs until arrangements can be made for permanent repairs. This is a free service for homeowners.
