U.S. Army crew chief Staff Sgt. Wayne Szalay, from the Idaho National Guard’s 183rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, partnered with U.S. Air Force tactical air control party Airmen from the Blue Lightning Squadron, 19th Air Support Operations Squadron from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to assist in their target acquisition and reconnaissance training missions by utilizing Idaho's UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters at Idaho's Saylor Creek Bombing Range. The Saylor Creek Bombing Range and Orchard Combat Training Center ranges are associated with both the Idaho National Guard and Mountain Home Air Force Base as an international destination to provide premier joint combined arms training.
