U.S. Air Force Col. James Couch, commandant of the Advanced Airlift Tactics Training Center looks back while a congressional delegation buckle into a C-130H Hercules aircraft, assigned to the 180th Airlift Squadron, Missouri Air National Guard, during a capabilities demonstration of the AATTC, at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, October 23, 2024. During the visit, the delegation flew in a C-130, witnessed an airdrop, combat landing, combat offload method C and a simulated casualty evacuation. The delegates representing the states of Arizona, South Carolina, Iowa, Arkansas and Missouri, included various positions such as policy advisors, legislative assistants, and aides. Since 1983 the AATTC, based in St. Joseph, Mo., has provided advanced tactical training to airlift aircrews from the Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Command, Air Mobility Command, U.S. Marine Corps and 17 allied nations.
