U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Peter Wilson, an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician with 9th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB), 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), sets up a digital radiographic x-ray system during joint and bilateral littoral explosive ordnance neutralization (LEON) and exploitation training as part of exercise Keen Sword 25 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 27, 2024. Wilson is a native of Colorado. The training enhancing EOD tactics, techniques, and procedures to locate, mark, and neutralize underwater and surface explosive hazards. Keen Sword is a biennial, joint and bilateral field-training exercise involving U.S. military and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, designed to increase readiness and interoperability while strengthening the ironclad U.S.-Japan alliance.
