Peter Wilson, an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician with 9th Engineer Support Battalion (ESB), 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), sets up a digital radiographic x-ray system during ordnance retrieval and identification training as part of exercise Keen Sword 25 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 27, 2024. Wilson is a native of Colorado. The training enhancing EOD tactics, techniques, and procedures to locate, mark, and neutralize underwater and surface explosive hazards. Keen Sword is a biennial, joint and bilateral field-training exercise involving U.S. military and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, designed to increase readiness and interoperability while strengthening the ironclad U.S.-Japan alliance.
