An Emergency Family Assistance Center, staffed by 148th Fighter Wing members and employees, and the Minnesota-Dakotas Region of the American Red Cross, was established during an Active Shooter Exercise hosted by the 148th Fighter Wing, Duluth, Minn., on Oct. 30, 2024. The EFAC is a facility staffed with disaster-response trained professionals, Airmen and Family Readiness Staff, and Key Volunteers who provide community assistance in crisis situations which involve multiple casualties.
