Mary Parker, the disaster mental health regional program lead from the Minnesota-Dakotas Region of the American Red Cross, responds to a scenario presented at the Emergency Family Assistance Center which was established during an Active Shooter Exercise hosted by the 148th Fighter Wing, Duluth, Minn., on Oct. 30, 2024. The EFAC is a facility staffed with disaster-response trained professionals, Airmen and Family Readiness Staff, and Key Volunteers who provide community assistance in crisis situations which involve multiple casualties.
