The Idaho Army National Guard’s State Aviation Group and the Boise Fire Department’s Swiftwater/Dive Rescue Team conducted hoist rescue training on Oct. 31, 2024 with the UH-60 Black Hawk and UH-72 Lakota helicopters. Together, the Idaho National Guard and the Boise Fire Department have aided in several real world rescues and the Idaho National Guard has responded to assist state agencies in approximately 11 rescues this year.
