The 7th Engineer Brigade Command Team, Col. Kyle Moulton and Command Sgt. Maj. Rufus Beamon attended the German Volkstrauertag ceremony with local dignitaries in the city of Herrieden on 17 November 2024.

In attendance were also (from left) City Council member Manfred Niederauer, 7th Army Training Command 2021 Good Neighbor Award recipient Karl Balk, 7th Engineer Brigade Command Team, Mayor of Herrieden Dorina Jechnerer, Deputy County Commissioner Stefan Horndasch and (ret.) head of the training center for military vehicle in Ellwangen CPT Glantz.

The Volkstrauertag ceremony, occurs every year in mid-November, and fulfills a similar purpose to the American Memorial Day to commemorate the victims of war, tyranny and their sacrifices, which should never be forgotten.
