The Louisiana National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 141st Field Artillery Regiment, 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, better known as the Washington Artillery, held its 186th annual Pass in Review ceremony at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans on Nov. 17, 2024. This year’s event, a proud continuation of the unit’s time-honored tradition as the oldest field artillery battalion outside the original 13 colonies, also served as a change of command, celebrating the accomplishments of outgoing commander Lt. Col. Christian Cannon and welcoming Maj. Michael Lacoste as the new commander. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Sgt. Danny Hough)
