Hesitant to try lifting the amount of weight on the bar, the Airman was encouraged by the coach and her teammates. Using the new learned techniques taught to her by the Air Force Wounded Warrior power lifting coach, she was able to complete a clean lift and set a new personal record at the same time. The AFW2 CARE Event at Joint Base Andrews and the National Capitol Region is part of the annual recognition for Warrior Care Month. Services recognize the role their Wounded Warrior programs play in the recovery and long-term resiliency of service members and veterans across the DoD.
