Yasukawa Takatoki, an Okinawa police officer, stands with fellow competitors during the closing ceremony after the All-Island Okinawa Style Sumo Tournament at Kouri Island Sorahashi Station, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 24, 2024. The tournament, open to all, featured 20 competitors, two of which were Marines from Camp Schwab and one a Status of Forces Agreement member from Camp Courtney. During a bout, competitors aim to earn points by making their opponent fall onto the dohyo, without striking or letting go of each other’s belts.
