Army Capt. Al McClain, a registered nurse on Walter Reed's NICU team, holds up a coat donated to the NICU coat drive. Our NICU team showed incredible generosity this holiday season! Their coat drive for East Silver Spring Elementary School didn’t just meet its goal of 20 coats—it exceeded it by 130 percent. That’s 26 warm coats, each paired with matching hats, gloves, and scarves, ensuring even more children will stay cozy this winter. This effort truly reflects the compassion and dedication of our staff here at Walter Reed. Thank you to our NICU team for embodying the spirit of giving and making such a meaningful impact on our community.
