U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Joshua Ubeda, left, and Cpl. Henry Hancock, radio and satellite transmissions systems operators, both with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, set up radio and satellite systems during the Best Radio Operator competition at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Nov. 26, 2024. Marines with the 31st MEU participated in a two-day event to determine the best radio operator out of a pool of 8 teams. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
