U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Brady Owens, a radio operator with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, sets up a radio transmission line during the Best Radio Operator competition at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Nov. 26, 2024. Marines with the 31st MEU participated in a two-day event to determine the best radio operator out of a pool of 8 teams. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force, ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premiere crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
