The Detroit District and Great Lakes Water Authority hosted the first two of five December public workshops to meet with the public on our flood mitigation study in Southeast Michigan. Residents and interested leaders from Jefferson Chalmers and Dearborn spoke with the study project team about how flooding has impacted their lives and how they envision a possible solution. The meetings are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. following an “open house” style to allow the visitors to drop in any time. For more information visit: https://www.lrd.usace.army.mil/semifloodstudy/
