Sitting atop a mustang named Donkey, Staff Sgt. Jefferson Bailey patrols an area of Sierra Blanca, Texas, for the U.S. Border Patrol. Because of the rough terrain and abundance of thorns, this modern-day cowboy wears chaps and spurs. Once a month Bailey also serves in the Missouri Army National Guard in Kansas City as a combat engineer.
