U.S. Air Force combat rescue loadmasters, assigned to the 39th Rescue Squadron, load QuadCons from the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, into an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft for transport during Distant Fury Stallion/Steel Knight, Dec. 4, 2024. Steel Knight is an annual exercise that takes place in multiple locations across the Southwest that allows I Marine Expeditionary Force to train as a full Marine Air-Ground Task Force and better integrate with joint and naval forces. This joint exercise with the Marine Corps and Navy provides an opportunity to validate the 920th Rescue Wing’s interoperability in remote, austere conditions such as the Indo-Pacific region.
