Marines from 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, prepare to conduct a night-time high-altitude, low-opening jump from an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft, assigned to the 920th Rescue Wing, during Distant Fury Stallion/Steel Knight, Dec. 4, 2024. Steel Knight is an annual exercise that takes place in multiple locations across the Southwest that allows I Marine Expeditionary Force to train as a full Marine Air-Ground Task Force and better integrate with joint and naval forces. This joint exercise with the Marine Corps and Navy provides an opportunity to validate the 920th RQW's interoperability in remote, austere conditions such as the Indo-Pacific region.
