250108-N-VW723-2001 SAN DIEGO (January 8, 2025) - Sailors assigned to the "Merlins" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3 assemble 420-gallon "Bambi Buckets" in preparation to support firefighting efforts in Los Angeles County. HSC-3 is a Fleet Replacement Squadron that provides training for Naval Aviators and Naval Aircrewmen in the MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, including aerial firefighting techniques in challenging and hazardous environments.
