250108-N-VW723-2187 SAN DIEGO (January 8, 2025) - 420-gallon "Bambi Buckets" sit ready, on the "Merlins" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 3 flight line, in preparation to support firefighting efforts in Los Angeles County. HSC-3 is a Fleet Replacement Squadron that provides training for Naval Aviators and Naval Aircrewmen in the MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter, including aerial firefighting techniques in challenging and hazardous environments.
