After the breaking of an anchor arm at Lock and Dam 25, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from St. Louis and Rock Island Districts got to work on replacing the broken arm in order to get the river back open to navigation. Within hours of the break being discovered a previously used anchor arm was set in place, ready to temporarily replace the broken pieces.
