On January 23, 2025, German Oberstleutnant (Ltc.) Florian Rommel, the German military representative for Grafenwöhr, presented the German Armed Forces Marksmanship Badge (Schützenschnur) to soldiers from the 28th Infantry Division, Pennsylvania National Guard at an award ceremony in Grafenwöhr, Germany. Also known as the German Forces Badge for Weapons Proficiency, the badge tests soldiers for proficiency with German weapons systems.
