Shane Finney, a Carlsbad, California native, infantry officer with 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, conducts a radio check before platoon attacks as part of Integrated Training Exercise 1-25 at Range 410A, Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Jan. 20, 2025. Range 410A prepares units for future conflicts, where small-unit leaders will play a crucial role in mission success by demonstrating adaptability, resourcefulness, and decisive action in disaggregated and austere environments with limited resources and challenging conditions.
