During this iteration of Rescue Flag, U.S. and Japanese aircraft and response teams rescued simulated casualties of a crash site off the coast of Southern Japan. Rescue Flag is used as an opportunity for the 353rd Special Operations Wing and all other participating units to test their rescue tactics, techniques, procedures, and equipment in a diverse set of near real-world rescue scenarios.
