An Alaska Army National Guard UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter assigned to A Company, 1-168th General Support Aviation Battalion, approaches the Herbert Glacier riverbed while transporting AKARNG infantrymen during a field training exercise near Juneau, Alaska, Jan. 24, 2025. The AKARNG aviators provided air support for a troop movement for infantrymen from A Company, 1st Battalion, 297th Infantry Regiment. After inserting into the Herbert Glacier riverbed by helicopter, the infantrymen set up a bivouac site and honed their soldiering skills while operating in a cold and wet environment.
