Soldiers assigned to Caisson Detachment, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) honor military working equine "Black Jack" on the 49th anniversary of his passing on Fort Myer, Va., Feb. 6, 2025. Black Jack was a caparisoned horse in more than 1,000 Armed Forces Full Honors Funerals, three presidential state funerals, and one state funeral during his illustrious 20-year career.
