Spc. Bradly Bowers and military working equine "Magic", assigned to Caisson Detachment, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) honor Caisson legend "Black Jack" during a rose-laying ceremony commemorating the 49th anniversary of his passing at his resting place on Summerall Field on Fort Myer, Va., Feb. 6, 2025. Black Jack was a caparisoned horse in more than 1,000 Armed Forces Full Honors Funerals, three presidential state funerals, and one state funeral during his illustrious 20-year career.
