250211-N-JM360-1002 CHINHAE, South Korea (Feb. 11, 2025) – Utilitiesman 3rd Class Nunez assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, Detail Chinhae, deployed in support of 30th Naval Construction regiment, checks the measurement of a concrete support, ensuring it has the proper depth requirement for a new concrete placement. The project's end-state is to construct a new walkway to ensure smooth travel of carts between the cafeteria and the kindergarten for a residential facility for the mentally and physically disabled. NMCB-3 serves as the stand-in engineering force for Commander, U.S. 7th Fleet, executing high-quality construction operations, activities, and investments, and is capable at the unit-of-action level to support major combat operations in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility with efficient airfield, waterfront, and advanced base construction. 30NCR enables the real-time mobility of response for engineering units and other assigned forces to provide expeditionary, general and limited combat engineer capability to respond to major combat operations and contingencies, conducts Theater Security Cooperation Plan operations, and executes Humanitarian Assistance Disaster Response (HA/DR) and Civil-Military Operations within the Indo-Pacific.
