NEWPORT, R.I.— European Union (EU) Defense Attaché to the United States and Canada Rear Adm. Henning Faltin delivers a lecture to U.S. Naval War College (NWC) students, staff and faculty on “EU Common Security and Defense Policy” and “NATO-EU/U.S.-EU Relations” during a visit to the college’s campus onboard Naval Station Newport, Feb. 12, 2025. The lecture was part of NWC’s Lectures of Opportunity series, which is designed to expose students to diverse viewpoints from leaders, researchers and practitioners in the field of national security and defense matters. Established in 1884, NWC informs today’s decision-makers and educates tomorrow’s leaders by providing educational experiences and learning opportunities that develop their ability to anticipate and prepare strategically for the future, strengthen the foundations of peace, and create a decisive warfighting advantage.
